I am seeking advice from anyone who has experienced a similar incident with Vested Finance or a US brokerage.
My US-listed ETF holdings in my Vested account appear to have been sold without my knowledge or authorisation on the night of 19 Oct 2026. The proceeds were then used to purchase a penny stock RUBI (Rubico Inc., Nasdaq), again without my consent. The sale and subsequent purchase of the penny stock commenced at 11.19pm IST on 19 Oct. I discovered the fraudulent transaction on the morning of 20 Oct through email notifications of sale and purchase transactions.
I did not instruct or authorise these transactions; my concern is that my existing investments were sold and replaced with a different security without my permission.
I am trying to understand how these transactions could have occurred, what are the details surrounding the unauthorised account access or whether there have been a brokerage-side security issue at Drivewealth, and what remedies are available.
Specifically, I would appreciate advice on the following:
- Has anyone experienced unauthorised trades or a similar account-security incident with Vested Finance?
- How responsive has Vested been in investigating such incidents and restoring the original holdings or compensating customers?
- What is the appropriate escalation route involving Vested, its US brokerage partner, the clearing firm, FINRA and/or the SEC?
- What evidence should I request to establish how the trades were initiated and whether the account was accessed from an unauthorised device?
- Have any affected investors successfully recovered their losses in similar cases?
I intend to pursue this formally and preserve all relevant account statements, trade confirmations and communications.
I would particularly appreciate responses from people who have dealt with similar incidents and can share their experience or the steps that worked for them.
Thank you.
