Markets have taken a small hit. What’s your strategy? Do you see any good opportunities here to invest or waiting for it to drop more?
Nvidia, Microsoft, and Google might still be long-term winners. If they drop another 10-15%, it’s a golden buying opportunity. But its still a good buying opportunity right now.
For the first time in years, US treasuries (T-bills) are yielding over 5% with no risk. Might be a safe bet for preserving capital.
You can invest in any of these ETFs. Search it on Vested.
- $BIL (SPDR Bloomberg 1-3 Month T-Bill ETF) → Ultra short-term, safe, liquid.
- $SGOV (iShares 0-3 Month T-Bill ETF) → Same as above.
- $TBIL (US Treasury 3 Month Bill ETF) → Direct exposure to 3-month T-bills.
- $SHV (iShares Short Treasury Bond ETF) → Holds 0-1 year T-Bills.
- $GBIL (Goldman Sachs Access Treasury ETF) → Same as above.
I am personally looking for some sort of stable income right now.
Would recommend looking at strong dividend-paying stocks (Pepsi, J&J, P&G) if you want stability and passive income. Its quite volatile market and can’t say if it will drop more given the circumstances.
@Ramya 's suggestion also works, but be careful, T-bills don’t yield more than 5% anymore.
