What is SLIP Income in the tax documents

I see a col with SLIP income in my tax documents, what exactly does it means.

SLIP is Income earned from the Securities Lending Income Program.

As @Murali_Ace_199 rightly mentioned, SLIP refers to the income earned through participation in the Fully Paid Securities Lending Program (FPSL). Under this program, if you are enrolled, your eligible securities may be lent to market participants, and you receive interest income in return.

This income is credited monthly on a consolidated basis, subject to any FPSL activity during that period. Similar to dividend income, it is subject to withholding tax in the U.S. In your Indian ITR, it should be reported in the same manner as your dividend income, and you may also claim a refund for the withheld amount.
