US markets just tanked. What’s happening?

So, if you’ve checked your portfolio today, chances are it’s looking pretty rough. The US markets just took a nosedive, and it’s got everyone talking. Here’s what’s I think is driving this chaos.

  1. Fed’s Playing Tough:
Powell and the Fed are still sticking to their guns with high interest rates, and the market doesn’t love it. Expensive money = slower growth.

  2. Tech’s Slipping:
Big Tech, the MVPs of this year’s rally, are finally cooling off. Apple, Nvidia, and the like are dragging things down big time.

  3. Bad Economic News:
Weak consumer spending and low job growth aren’t exactly helping the mood. Because of inflation fears, there’s weak consumer spending.

Are you guys buying the dip or selling off?

Tech’s been carrying the market for so long, it’s almost weird seeing it fall. Any thoughts on whether Nvidia and Tesla are buys at these levels?

Biggest question: Is this just a correction or the start of something bigger? Feels like the market’s been too optimistic for too long, no?

I intend to maintain my current ETF investment strategy. Historical data suggests that market timing is often ineffective. What investment approach are you currently pursuing? ETFs, individual stocks, or a cash position?
