Thoughts on ASML?

Monopoly in lithography. TSMC, Nvidia, Samsung rely on ASML. Refresh cycle for better chips give ASML a major advantage in the AI arms race. Even considering China sales ending, the world needs better chips so that business cannot slow down.

ASML is almost the king of lithography. Their EUV machines is what keep TSMC, Nvidia, Samsung, and everyone else in the game for better chips. Even with the whole China sales ban thing, it doesn’t really matter—everyone needs their machines to push AI and tech forward. Honestly, they’re so essential it’s almost scary how much power they have in the industry.

So is it better to invest in ASML or invest in semiconductor ETF like iShares Semiconductor ETF (SOXX) ?

That’s up to you. If you can take more risk for higher returns, go with ASML else you can stick to SOXX for stable growth.
