Why do we not get a registration confirmation email from Nasdaq or NYSE just like we get in India Market CDSL?
I’m confused & scared to trust whether I am investing in US Market or lending fund to Vested Inc just by seeing their charts/UI.
That’s a very fair concern, and I’m glad you brought it up.
The reason it feels different is because the U.S. investing system works differently from India.
In India, after you buy shares, Central Depository Services Limited or National Securities Depository Limited sends you confirmations because they act as the depository where your shares are held.
In the U.S., NASDAQ and New York Stock Exchange are only exchanges where buying and selling happens. They do not maintain investor accounts or send holding confirmations.
When you invest through Vested Finance, your stocks are actually held with DriveWealth, which is a regulated U.S. broker. Vested is the platform that helps you access the market, but the shares are held with the broker in your account.
So in simple terms:
• Vested provides the platform
• DriveWealth executes and holds the stocks
• Your investments are held in your brokerage account, not with Vested
Instead of an exchange confirmation, you receive:
• Trade confirmations
• Broker statements
• Tax documents
• Portfolio records in your account
These are the U.S. equivalent of what CDSL/NSDL provide in India.
So to answer your concern directly:
You are not lending money to Vested. You are investing through Vested into a regulated U.S. brokerage account where the securities are held in your name.
It is completely normal to feel cautious when the process is different from what you are used to in India. But the safety comes from the fact that the broker infrastructure behind the platform is regulated, and your holdings are reflected in official broker statements, not just in the app interface.
Your question shows that you are thinking like a careful investor, and that’s a good thing. Trust should come from understanding where your assets are held, and in this case they are held with the regulated broker, not with Vested.
